These past few weeks, this week especially, have been extra busy. I've been studying my a$$ off for my ACSM Personal Trainer Certification, babysitting, and still finishing up my work at the Foodbank (my last day is next week!). With all of that going on, I just haven't been in the mood to prepare dinners. I've gotten caught by the eating out trap a few times this week and let me tell you, I'm ready to get back to cooking. It's okay to have a few days that are like this. Nobody is perfect. Here's the thing that gets most people--after a few bad days, people lose the motivation to a healthy routine. Don't let that be you! I may have had a Philly cheese steak sub and fries for dinner last night, but I'm not about to have it for lunch today, and dinner tonight, and dinner tomorrow. It was a treat. Everything is okay in moderation as long as you get that! I'm not ashamed of that meal and you shouldn't be either. Just remember that one bad day of eating isn't going to define you or your diet. Instead of dwelling over the fact you just ate a cheeseburger and fries, rejoice in the fact you just enjoyed a delicious treat and remember that it's okay, because your meals are normally balanced.
This weekend, I plan on taking a study break to experiment with creating my own nut-butter. So, look forward to a post on that... coming soon! Until then, happy eating everybody! :)
